Alternative 1: Stay with the Status Quo-Government spending The provincial government of Ontario spends more money on taking care of one homeless person than it spends on the average citizen. Moreover, the government funds come from one and only one place, the taxpayer's pockets. Taxpayers spend more money in taking care of the needy than they do in taking care of themselves. In any social setting this can be difficult to comprehend, especially, when those with insight can see the potential in these underprivileged members of our society and know that they can turn their lives around if properly guided.
