• To mobilize the unemployed, low-income single-parent, newcomers, underprivileged, and other disadvantaged members of our society to fully participate in the socio-economic development of the Greater Toronto Area. In doing this, we will train these individuals to help in cleaning complexes such as government buildings, parks, recreation centres, landfills, highways and roads.
  
• To have the individuals participate in the cleanup of public events such as parades, festivals, and concerts.
  
• Ontario Small Hand in collaboration with the Police Services and correctional centres will be able to train these individuals to find employment.

Long-term goals

• Ontario Small Hand™ envisions the participation of these individuals in relief efforts such as the cleanup of major disasters, including floods and ice storms.
• To become an intermediary to assist small businesses by providing effective and efficient training that will enable these individuals to integrate into the private business community where they can make a greater impact on the market.
• To organize a homeless theatre that will inspire positive personal change in the lives of these individuals and provide them with an outlet to showcase their talent. This initiative will also be used as a vehicle for social change that will enhance understanding about these individuals and change stereotypes.
• To promote sustainable development by encouraging these individuals to set-up a cleaning co-operative to become entrepreneurs thereby promoting long-term self employment.
